Krosfyah (pronounced “Crossfire”) is a popular and innovative Soca band from Barbados, best known for hits like “Pump Me Up,” “Road Jam,” and “Sak Passe“.
The band was formed in 1989 in the working-class neighborhood of Clapham, Barbados. Co-founders included lead singer/songwriter Edwin Yearwood, drummer Anthony “Rebel” Bailey, Michael Agard, and Felix Forde. The band started by playing cover songs in local hotels before developing their unique style.
Krosfyah is known for redefining the Soca genre by adding touches of reggae and R&B and using a funky, urban look to appeal to a younger audience.

- Name Change: The spelling was changed from “Crossfire” to “Krosfyah” to reflect the Bajan dialect pronunciation.
- Debut Album: Their 1994 debut, Ultimate Party, was a notice of their innovative approach to Soca music.
